Our Industry Partners
Partnering with MATES shows a genuine commitment to suicide prevention and mental health in manufacturing by equipping workers and businesses with tools for lasting well-being. It builds safer, more supportive sites and fosters a culture that values people, engagement, and long-term industry health.

Founding Partners
MATES in Construction was established in 2008 through the leadership of key industry partners committed to tackling the high rate of suicide in the construction industry. Our founding partners include BERT (Building Employees Redundancy Trust) as the Queensland Foundation Partner, BIRST (Building Industry Redundancy Scheme Trust) as the South Australian Founding Partner, and ReddiFund as the Founding Partner in Western Australia. Together, they laid the groundwork for an industry-owned, evidence-based approach to mental health and suicide prevention

We represent tens of thousands workers in all areas of manufacturing:
- Food and confectionery
- Metal and engineering
- Print, packaging and design
- Technical, laboratory, supervisory and administrative
- Auto building, service and repair
As union members, we work together to protect your rights at work.
That means ensuring our members receive the pay, conditions, safety and respect they deserve at work.
Brand Partners
MATES is proud to partner with leading brands TRu Brands as well as the Reece Group, to raise awareness and support mental health and suicide prevention in the workplace. These valued partnerships help amplify our message through co-branded products, national campaigns, and industry engagement. By aligning with trusted names in PPE and trade, our brand partners play a vital role in breaking down stigma and promoting help seeking across worksites and supply chains
National Industry Partners
MATES in Construction is supported by a strong network of national partners who share our commitment to improving mental health and preventing suicide across high-risk industries. These organisations play a critical role in enabling the delivery of our programs, expanding our reach, and strengthening our impact. Through financial support, industry leadership, and shared purpose, our national partners help ensure that every worker has access to support, no matter where they are.
