An industry partner’s relationship with MATES demonstrates a commitment to raising the standard of suicide prevention and mental health in the manufacturing industry.
The aim is to give businesses and their employees the tools to enable good mental health. By supporting MATES, partners are investing in the long-term future health of their industry.
Embracing the MATES in Manufacturing program makes sites safer, more productive and more supportive of individuals, and demonstrates a real commitment to workplace safety and mental health and well-being of all workers. The Industry Partnership program enables an active culture within a workforce that strengthens and supports a more engaged workforce. You would be hard-pressed to find an employee who did not want to work for a company that truly cares.

The MATES training programs are direct, practical and “speak the language” of our employees – they understand the way we work and the challenges of our industry. MATES partner with us to provide our people with the skills and understanding to identify and act upon signs of mental distress in their workmates with the aim of suicide prevention. It makes for a safer and happier workplace.

- Access to essential MATES training: GAT, Connector, ASIST
- Site visits and postvention support
- Case management and 24/7 helpline access
- Approx. $7,500–$15,000 in Year 1
- Discounted ongoing support from Year 2 onward
Mid Sized
For mid size companies or those with more complex operations (300–1,000 employees)
- 3–5+ sites, multi-state coverage
- Increased volume of training and site engagement
- Dedicated support for volunteer networks
- Re-Connector and Re-ASIST options
- Typically $15,000–$40,000 in Year 1 depending on complexity
- Reduced cost in following years to maintain momentum
Large or National
Large or national organisations (1,000+ employees)
- Fully customised rollout plans
- High-frequency engagement across a wide network
- Ongoing cultural change initiatives
- Embedded peer support systems at scale
